SRILANKAN  MYDHA  PUTTU


INGREDIENTS


all purpose flour/Mydha: 2 cupGrated coconut: 1 cup
Salt to taste,   hot Water
Fill the cooker or puttu kudam with enough water allow to boil.
STEP
In a lvessal, take mydha flour, keep on slow fire  & roast it till  get nice smell ./slightly brown in colour..Sprinkle enough salt  into it.add hot water little by little Keep on mixing well by breaking small lumps formed.It is more easier to get  smooth puttu  by grinding for 1 minute in a mixer or grinder.
fill into puttu maker with layers of grated coconut at the bottom, top and in betweenSteam the puttu for 10-15 minutes, by placing it on the top of a pressure cooker or puttu kudam.
finally with bottom side of long laddle  remove  puttu  on the plate with care..Serve with bananas, sugar, coconut mik. as well as its suits  with fish curry ,egg scramble. 
Try other  wheat flour flour   also with same method
.Enjoy it with a little ghee , if needed.
